Celebrate “La Semaine de la langue française et de la Francophonie” with the French band “Sages comme des sauvages”, coming to Bulawayo for a unique show. These two amazing artists are also touring to Harare, Pretoria (SA) and Maseru (Lesotho), for their first Southern Africa tour.
First act with Bulawayo artists Reilo Viekk and Simz Masuku.
Originally from Brussels, the group mixes French songs and world music. The singer Ava is Franco-American, she grew up between France and Greece and has evolved in the Berlin alternative scene. Ismaël Colombani has Corsican and Brussels origins and started by playing the violin, before turning to experimental music.
After the success of their first album Largue la peau and the tour that followed, the group is used to travelling around the French-speaking world.

Alliance Française of Bulawayo invites you to the launch of the first solo exhibition of Zibusiso Thsuma, “It’s the little things that matter”. We discovered this talented artist last year in November with the Outreach Program exhibition, which took place at the National Art Gallery of Bulawayo (a project Alliance Française is also involved in), and were highly seduced by his art. For 2 months, Zibusiso will give to Alliance Française its new arty signature.
Free entrance – cocktail offered (wine, juice and finger food).
The exhibition will be open from Monday to Friday (9am – 5pm) and Saturday (morning) until 6th May.
Artist Biography :
Zibusiso Tshuma is a 24-year-old self-taught visual artist from Gwanda, Zimbabwe.
In 2022 he participated in his first group exhibition at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe entitled “Lesedi”.
In 2023 he was selected by the National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Bulawayo as an artist in residence.
Artist statement :
This exhibition was inspired by my high school agricultural instructor who used to say “Take care of the little things, and the large things will take care of themselves”. This statement serves as a cornerstone for this exhibition and the research behind it. I hope the work will invite you to look at the tiny details within larger images; actions that, I hope, translate and encourage positive habits in addressing life’s bigger challenges.
